For the purposes of this policy, Personal Information means information about an identifiable individual or information that permits an individual to be identified and which is collected by International Teaching World through the use of our services, including our website and any other on-line platforms that may be offered or operated. Depending on the nature of your interactions or relationship with International Teaching World, we may collect such Personal Information as your first and last name, CV, postal and email addresses, telephone number(s), social network data, information concerning your social circumstances, including age, date of birth, marital status, employment details and job title, education/qualification information, gender, religion, health details and request other Personal Information and or/ documentation for the purpose of vetting. For the purposes of certain services we offer, including the facilitation of international visas, with your consent, we may also collect Personal Information pertaining to your dependants, who may be minors.

How we collect, use and disclose personal information:

We only collect Personal Information as required to meet the purposes that we have identified. We do not indiscriminately collect or retain Personal Information. International Teaching World typically collects Personal Information that is voluntarily provided by the individual in question. At times, however, Personal Information is obtained from other sources, such as government bodies or third parties such as employers, references and service providers, as permitted by law. Where the purpose for the collection of Personal Information is unclear, you can ask your International Teaching World representative to provide an explanation of the purpose for the data collection. The granting of such consent is entirely voluntarily; however, if you do not grant the requested consent, your use of the services provided by International Teaching World, including access to job positions displayed via the website and any other on-line platform that we may offer may not be possible. Our reason for collecting Personal Information about job candidates, clients, staff and consultants is to establish and maintain employment, contractual or other business relationships.

Appropriate use of personal Information:

International Teaching World will never rent or sell your personal Information to others.  We may in some cases share your personal information with a third party service providers from time to time to carry out certain functions for us such as client development or services related to International Teaching and/or Transitions. Where we use such outside service providers, we require those third parties to protect personal Information in the same manner in which we protect it and to not use or disclose it for any purposes except as directed by International Teaching World.

Information you disclose publicly:

By connecting with the International Teaching World through our website, social media pages or accounts, you are providing your consent for International Teaching World to use any personal Information or other content you submit or make available through such sites for expressed purposes, including, but not limited to, incorporation into our marketing materials, without further notice or compensation. International Teaching World may also collect and process any personal Information that you volunteer via our website’s form systems, including when you sign up to receive newsletters or other information from International Teaching World.

Processing data and information:

International Teaching World assume relative use of your personal Information both as the processor  and as a controller; however, where you have volunteered personal Information with respect to a full registration process under any of the services or on-line platforms offered by International Teaching World. All data collected by International Teaching World will be stored exclusively in secure hosting facilities provided by Amazon Web Services. International Teaching World has a data processing agreement in place with this provider, ensuring compliance with the GDPR. All hosting is performed in accordance with the highest security regulations.

International Teaching World’s Data Processors:
Amazon Web Services – AWS is a secure, durable technology platform with industry-recognized certifications and audits. AWS services and data centres have multiple layers of operational and physical security to ensure the integrity and safety of your data. Jotform – Jotform servers are located in a cloud-based architecture with Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS data centres are located in Virginia (US) and Frankfurt (Germany, EU).  Hosting Jotform on this major cloud platforms also provides us with extra benefits in relation to the implementation of security best practices in network infrastructure. Their servers are regularly updated and patched.
Forums:

You agree, through your use of any forum operated by International Teaching World through our website or any other on-line platform that we operate, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person’s privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any International law. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also forbidden on this forum. You agree to abide by the Terms of Service (TOS) provided on the forum boards.

Children’s privacy:

Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important to International Teaching World. For that reason, except as expressly set out in this Privacy Policy and with your consent, International Teaching World does not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Information from anyone under the age of 18. In the event that we learn that we have collected  personal information from a child under age 18 contrary to this Privacy Policy and/or without your consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. Please note that if you do not grant the requested consent, certain services provided by International Teaching World, including the facilitation of international visas may be delayed or not be possible.

Accessing your personal information:

If you maintain a current account with International Teaching World or one of the services or on-line platforms we operate, you can review, correct, update, amend or delete personal Information about you by emailing your allocated consultant, calling us directly or reaching out to our administrative team at Info@InternationalTeachingWorld.com.  International Teaching World will acknowledge your request within five working days and handle it promptly. If requested, we will inform you if we are holding personal Information about you, as well as details about the personal Information. We reserve the right to confirm your identity before complying with any access request. Access to personal information may be denied if required or authorized by law. If a request for access is denied, International Teaching World will provide an explanation of the reasons for the refusal. If you are a resident of the EEA or the EU, the GDPR gives you a range of rights in connection with our processing of your personal data. In this regard, you have the right to request that we rectify or delete your personal information or restrict the processing of your personal information, if you think it is inaccurate. Furthermore, you have the right to object against the processing based on our legitimate interests as a legal basis. We are required to assess and act on your request. Retention and deletion:
International Teaching World will not retain data longer than is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable laws.  For certain data pertaining to a full registration to one of International Teaching World’s online platforms, you have control over the personal information collected and the duration for which your personal Information is kept.  Users of International Teaching World’s online platforms will therefore have the responsibility to inform the provider regarding the deleting of data as and when required. If you are an active user of our online platform, we will retain your information for so long as your account is is needed to provide you with services.  If an account of a user of one of International Teaching World’s platforms is terminated, all personal Information collected through that platform will be deleted, as required by applicable law.
