The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a passionate and experienced Chemistry specialist with a deep understanding of the IB Diploma Programme. They will demonstrate skill in teaching higher-level concepts, guiding student-led investigations, and fostering scientific curiosity through both practical and theoretical learning. A strong understanding of assessment criteria and the ability to provide constructive academic feedback is essential. The candidate should also be confident mentoring students in Extended Essays and internal assessments, and be eager to contribute to a wider school culture of innovation, collaboration, and student well-being. A commitment to inquiry-based education, intercultural understanding, and supporting students of diverse backgrounds will be key to success in this role.

Educational and Experience (Requirements):

*Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field

*Recognised Teaching Qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, Teaching License, or equivalent)

*Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience in IB Diploma or equivalent senior secondary curriculum

*Experience with the IBDP framework and assessment practices (strongly preferred)

*Desirable additional qualifications: (Master’s Degree, TOK coordination experience, Extended Essay supervision, prior international school teaching experience)
