The Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will be a qualified and compassionate school counsellor who is confident supporting students across all key stages. They will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a proactive approach to mental health and wellbeing in an international setting. This individual will be confident providing both individual and group support, collaborating closely with teachers, leadership, and parents, and contributing to whole-school initiatives focused on pastoral care and emotional resilience. Experience with safeguarding frameworks, crisis intervention, and the delivery of wellbeing workshops or character education is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will also be reflective, empathetic, and comfortable working in a multicultural, fast-paced environment, bringing both professionalism and warmth to the role.
Educational and Experience (Requirements):
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field
Postgraduate qualification in School Counselling, Mental Health, or equivalent (e.g., PGDip, M.Ed Counselling, School Psychology)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a School Counsellor in a school setting
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and adolescent development
Preferred: Experience working in international schools, bilingual settings, or across both Primary and Secondary phases
