The Ideal Candidate 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the very of the standards of teaching and learning for all those on the Inclusion Register throughout the school setting. There will be an expectation for the Head of Inclusion to lead, manage and develop Inclusion throughout the school. The ideal candidate will have the ability both create and maintain systems for identifying, assessing and reviewing provision for pupils on the Inclusion Register and maintain an up to records and will support effective teaching approaches for those pupils with special educational needs, including intervention programmes where necessary and offering both expertise and guidance to the teaching staff amongst the school. The ideal Head of Inclusion will lead, develop and enhance the classroom practice of teaching staff and teaching assistants and keep the school‘up to date’ with current information and research by attending courses, workshops and through personal reading.

.Educational and Experience (Requirements)

*Bachelor’s Degree in Special Educational Needs, Inclusion or Psychology based

 (Relative Field to Subject Specialism)

*PGCE with QTS, Valid US Teaching Licence, Bachelor of Education, Irish Teaching Council Registration, SACE etc.

(Recognised Teaching Qualification)

*Candidates require a minimum of two years teaching experience
